Dancing Queen at the Opera - an ABBA On Record excerpt

published February 14, 2024

I feel like I've promised to show you some pages from ABBA On Record (abbaonrecord.com) for a long time. While the Official International ABBA Fan Club magazine and Record Collector have both published excerpts from the book, so far I haven't really shared any actual pages. Well, time to change that!

This excerpt depicts the release of the Dancing Queen single and, specifically, the circumstances surrounding the performance of the song on the Royal Gala the evening before the wedding between Sweden's Carl XVI Gustaf and Silvia Sommerlath in June 1976.

The excerpt ends rather abruptly, I'm afraid, but if you want to read the remainder of the chapter, why not pre-order ABBA On Record at abbaonrecord.com? If you do so no later than 28 February 2024, you will be part of the Big Shipping in mid-March, which means that you will get your copy of the book as early as possible. More facts about the publication of ABBA On Record on the Basic Facts page.
